Build Your Biz With One

One is a very tiny number that can have a tremendous impact on your business. I have seen one direct sales consultant have ONE home scrapbook workshop and build an entire business off of it. ONE can do magical things for you if used correctly. Let’s explore ways that ONE can help you grow your biz!

  • Contact ONE potential customer each day. If you do that 5 days a week, that’s 260 new people you have contacted each year. How many of those will translate into customers and sales?
  • Contact ONE current or former customer each day-research shows it’s easier to get a current customer to buy from you AGAIN than it is to find a brand new customer.
  • Suggest ONE additional item to each customer during a sale. How many MORE dollars a year could you add to your bottom line if each customer just bought ONE more thing?
  • Invest ONE day each month to managing your business-get your paperwork up to date, place orders, take inventory or do your taxes. Most entrepreneurs are GREAT at starting businesses but bad at running them.
  • Read ONE business book each month. Expanding your knowledge with relevant business books will ramp up and sharpen your general business skills.
  • Send ONE more thank you card to a recent customer or ONE more email out to the people in your database. An additional contact from you might translate into sales or clients.
  • Try to schedule ONE more event each month. That adds up to 12 additional workshops or classes each year and more profit added to your bottom line.
  • Change ONE product offering each month. Keep your product line fresh.
  • Try your business ONE more time if you are feeling frustrated with it. Many business owner quit right before they are about the become successful
  • Measure your success ONE step at a time. Visualize the big picture but focus on the steps and successes ONE at a time. No one is an overnight success.
  • Spend ONE hour each month going through your trade and consumer magazines for inspiration and ideas. You are a scrapbook entrepreneur, it’s your job to keep on top of trends and techniques.

As the old Chinese saying goes, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with just ONE step”, so does your successful business. Use the power of ONE and take it ONE step and ONE day at a time.
