Early Readers First Phonic Stories

We now use phonics to make words make stories. Five more of my secrets of child literacy.

If you have worked with me using my five secrets of child literacy, your child can now recognize every sound of the alphabet. You have played the games:

“Let’s see who can find ?a’.?

“I wonder where ?z’ is hiding.?

You have walked along alphabet roads, zoomed your sports car around Formula One alphabet circuits and taken ?y’ and ?p’ for a ride in the pram with teddy and a doll. Alphabet letters are fun, they are friends.

My Cardboard Box

How many toys, what type of toys, how many computer games, how many special trips, how much T.V., or how many new toys does one child need? All of these questions seem to be constant on every parent’s mind today that I needed to recount my cardboard box.

You see, when I was a kid, I didn’t have all these new toys that parents are told today that they need by all those advertisers. In fact, my parents probably couldn’t have afforded them anyway because it was expensive enough looking after four children. Now, don’t get me wrong. We always had plenty to eat, always had clean clothes, although some were hand me downs, and we were always attended to by a doctor when it was needed.

A Luau Party For Every Occasion

Everyone loves to visit the tropics and what better way to escape throughout the year than by throwing a Luau party?

One great component to a luau party is that decorations are not just limited to the party supply section. You may be surprised to find that hard plastic cups in the luau or other seasonal theme may be more inexpensive than disposable party cups. Serving bowls, plates and matching silverware may also be more budget friendly in the house wares section as opposed to party supplies. These can be used over and over again and will not only save money on this party but for parties in the future.

Go Green With A Shrek Party

Your child’s party is sure to be a success with just a little planning and some creative thinking, and a Shrek Party is a very popular choice among children everywhere. Invitations are the beginning for all children’s parties and Shrek is no exception. You can purchase standard or premade invitations. The standard card stock may be embellished using your home computer and printer. Be certain to get creative by saying something like:You are invited to the wedding of Shrek and Princess Fiona, and be ready to party with _(birthday boy or girl’s name)_ Who is celebrating his birthday with them!!

Creative Crafts For A Special Birthday

There are plenty of crafts that you can do to celebrate someone’s birthday. You can use them for a present, or you can decorate a party with the themed crafts. What you do is solely up to you. The main point of making things homemade for someone’s birthday is that it shows effort and love that can’t be shown with store-made items. Crafts are thoughtful and always appreciated.
